Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-23

Soliva is built to need as little of your data as possible. This policy explains what stays on your device, what reaches our server, and the choices you have.

The short version

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not run analytics of our own. Your practice data stays on your phone. Soliva is free and shows a short ad after a finished session; those ads are served by Google AdMob, which has its own data practices described below.

What stays on your device

Your language and theme, favorites, practice history and progress, program progress, onboarding answers, and reminder settings are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them.

Removing the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes all of it.

What reaches our server

When you open the app online, it asks our content server for the latest list of sounds, music and sessions, and downloads the audio files you play. Those files are then kept on your phone so they work offline. Like any web server, ours receives your IP address and basic request details (such as the app version and time) when this happens.

We use these request logs only to keep the service running and secure, and we do not combine them with any profile of you, because none exists. Our hosting provider keeps them for a short period.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, the app schedules notifications locally on your phone at the time you choose. Nothing about them is sent to us. You can turn them off in the app or in your phone settings at any time.

Permissions

  • Notifications (optional): to show the daily reminder you set.
  • Internet: to load new content, stream audio and show ads.
  • Audio playback in the background: so sounds can continue when the screen is off.

Children

Soliva is a general wellbeing app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and ads are limited to a general-audience rating.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Soliva shows an interstitial ad after a session ends, served by Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP, app version and information about how ads perform. Soliva does not give Google your practice history, favorites or any information you enter in the app.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, UK and some US states) Soliva asks for your consent through Google's consent form before requesting ads. You can change this choice later where the form offers it.

On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization in Settings → Google → Ads. See Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Other third parties

Soliva contains no analytics or social SDKs. Audio is hosted by us. Some field recordings come from BigSoundBank.com and are published under a CC0 public-domain licence.

Your choices and rights

Your practice data stays on your device, so you control it directly: change or delete it in the app, or remove the app. For advertising data held by Google, use the controls in your Google account and Android settings. If you believe our server holds data about you, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
